   School  Advisory Council
(SAC)
The purpose of the SAC is to serve as the prime link between the school and the local community. The council assists in the preparation and evaluation of the School Improvement Plan, the Parent Involvement Plan, and the compacts.  The membership of the council is made up of the principal, teachers, school related personnel, parents, and business partners.
The meetings are held once a month on Mondays at 6:00 p.m. in the Media Center.  All meetings are open for everyone to attend.

Family & Community Involvement Council for the School District

We have parents from all schools  in the district who serve on a Family and Community Involvement Council.  The Council meets on a regular basis to review and revise policies and discuss district events as well as share ideas and activities that are taking place at each school site.  If you are interested in representing Columbia City Elementary and being a part of the council, please let Jo Ann Torrans know.

Volunteers

We love Volunteers!  All volunteers (including chaperones) are required to complete an application form every year and be approved by the Columbia County School Board.  Only one form per person needs to be completed in the county.  Volunteers can work in classrooms, at home, in the media center, in the office, or help with special projects.
All classroom volunteers need yearly orientation before volunteering in the classroom.

Awards Day Lunch

Join us for awards during your child's lunch time at the end of each nine weeks.  Mrs. Boone will call students to the stage for recognition if they have perfect attendance, are on the honor roll, or have net their AR goals.

Columbia Closet

We have a closet on campus for children that are in need of clothes, shoes, or jackets.  Please feel free to come to the office if you find you are in need of these items.  If you have gently worn items that you no longer need we will be glad to take them.
