Title I School Improvement Initiative Grant

Five Points Elementary is the recipient of the Title I School Improvement Initiative Grant.  This grant is being awarded to schools in Columbia County that have been designated as a Focus and/or Prevent school.  The funds provided through the grant will allow our school to focus on students that are low performing and/or non-proficient and are not meeting requirements in reading and math.  Extended learning opportunities during the school day will be provided by paraprofessional tutors under the direction of the classroom teachers.  The grant also provides funds for professional development in the area of Common Core State Standards.
