The mission of the Health Services Program of the Columbia County Public Schools is  to promote and maintain the physical and mental well being of our students by providing  professional and compassionate health care.  We are committed to providing a learning environment that supports wellness through good nutrition, physical activity and healthy  lifestyles.  Our health team recognizes the link between healthy choices, student attendance, and academic achievement.  Our school nurses work daily to promote a healthy, safe and  nurturing school environment.

Student health services are provided in accordance with the Columbia County Schools  Health Services Manual, which is updated bi-yearly by the School Health Advisory Council (SHAC).  The School Health Services Plan is updated bi-yearly and outlines  health services to be provided during specified years, as mandated by the School Health  Services Act, s. 381.0056, F. S.  Parent and staff involvement and input is always  welcome.  For copies of the School Health Services Plan please contact the Health Services Department at 386-755-8050 ext. 116 or allison_k@firn.edu.
