Melrose Park Elementary History
Melrose Park Elementary was built in 1950 on the site of a neighborhood park. Several additions and remodels have taken place since that time, including the addition of a media center, several wings, and classroom renovations. Our school serves approximately 550 Pre-K through fifth grade students. Our classrooms have internet access, with an average of 5 computers in each class. We have a first class technology lab with 31 computers. Students and teachers at Melrose Park also have access to Alpha Smarts, Mimio (interactive whiteboards), document cameras, scanners, digital cameras, and other educational technology.
