Summers Elementary guidance program is based upon the belief that growth and development, during the early years of schooling, are the most significant factors in the total education of the child. Counseling in the formative years assists in the development of social skills which are fundamental in our everday interactions with others. The focus of elementary guidance is both developmental and preventative.

Ways to Praise a Child! 
There are many words you can say to help your child to encourage and praise them. Here are a few:

WOW!, I KNEW YOU COULD DO THAT!, THAT'S INCREDIBLE, YOU MEAN THE WORLD TO ME!, YOU HAVE MADE MY DAY!, I KNOW YOU TRIED YOUR HARDEST! and always, I LOVE YOU!
